AGPA's local and regional Affiliate Societies across the country offer collegiality, referral networks, training, consultation, and supervision. Although membership and services are separate from the national Association, all AGPA members have access to the workshops and training programs sponsored by the Affiliate Societies. AGPA members are encouraged to exchange professional knowledge and skills through interdisciplinary, national and local contacts. 

Affiliate Societies Assembly
The Affiliate Societies Assembly consists of an official representative from each Affiliate Society. The Assembly, which meets semi-annually:

• Acts as the liaison between the Affiliates and the AGPA Executive Committee and Board of Directors; 
• Assists Affiliates with local programming; 
• Serves as an open forum for Societies to discuss all issues relevant to their activities;
• Encourages and is available to assist in the formation of Affiliate Local and Regional Societies; 
• Processes affiliation applications.
