True Confessions: The Struggles of the Group Therapist in a
Tightly Knit Community
Chair:
Richard Miller, LICSW, Private Practice, Boston and Turo,
Massachusetts
In a small community, the challenge of maintaining boundaries is
heightened by interrelationships that exist outside of group and the
lack of privacy regarding the leaders personal life. In this
workshop, we will learn to use effective group agreements, maintain
authentic personal/professional stance, and explore
countertransference dilemmas. Difficult and humorous vignettes will
be shared.
