Both psychotherapy
and spirituality promote character integrity. This integration
requires careful attention to one's affective core. Based on the
belief in the centrality of affect in one's psychological and
spiritual life, this workshop will explore the collaborative role of
Buddhist meditation and group psychotherapy as holding environments
for the emergence, exploration, management, and transformation of
emotions. Recent findings in neuroscience will support the role of
meditation and psychotherapy in affect regulation.
