Workshop 90
Redecision Therapy, Personality Adaptations
Chair:
Vann Joines,
Ph.D., CGP,
Psychotherapy Training Institute, Southeast
Institute,
Chapel Hill, North Carolina
This workshop will
focus on working with six core personality adaptations in groups:
Schizoid, Paranoid, Antisocial, Passive-Aggressive,
Obsessive-Compulsive, and Histrionic. By knowing the “doors” to
each adaptation, the therapist can quickly establish rapport, target
interventions to the area that will have greatest impact for change,
and avoid becoming stuck in the client's defenses.
