Workshop 93
Listening
Within: A Cognitive-Behavioral Model Using Gestalt Principles
Chair:
Jacqueline
Dierks, Ph.D., Private Practice, Tempe,
Arizona
This workshop
addresses the growing demand for time-limited treatment strategies.
Utilizing the reactive responses of fight, flight, and freeze, the
presenter introduces a cognitive-behavioral model informed by
Gestalt principles easily grasped by clients as a tool for managing
stressful situations. The leader then demonstrates the model in a
group with volunteers from the audience.
