Workshop 94
Newer Approaches to Treating Narcissistic/Borderline Couples: Introducing the “V” Spot

Chair:

Joan Lachkar, Ph.D., Private Practice, Los Angeles and Tarzana, California

This seminar explores the variety of interventions most useful in the treatment of narcissistic/borderline couples. It begins by discussing the "dance" of the couple, the underlying themes/dynamics i.e., the vulnerability that lies beneath the grandiose and omnipotent narcissist and how that matches up with the more accessible vulnerability of the borderline individual. Specific treatment strategies will be offered along with lively case illustrations, and role play with active group participation.
