This session will
focus on identifying and resolving the forms of resistance that can,

that commonly sabotage group supervision in private practice and
agencies.
Learning Objectives:
The attendee will

needs of a particular group of supervisees, and determine the best
ways to meet those needs.
2. Identify six types of resistance that may emerge in supervision
groups, and prescribe solutions to each type.
3. Predict the efficacy of different supervision group modalities
based on analysis of the system in which the group takes place, and
the group's composition.
4. Discuss and interpret his or her counter-resistance to the
resistances poised by various types of supervision groups.
