Power, Passion & Politics: The Intersection of Organizational Development Models and Group Process Dynamics in a Pastoral Search Process

This session will identify a variety of classic group development models. Areas of commonality between Organizational Development and Group Psychotherapy disciplines will be highlighted and discussed. Using a pastoral search committee case study, the cyclic nature of the stages of group development in a task-oriented environment will be demonstrated.
 

Learning Objectives:

The attendee will be able to:

1. Identify stages of group.
2. Discuss the definitions of "power", "passion" and "politics."
3. Describe the interface between OD and group process dynamics.
