The Power of Psychodrama: A Strength Based approach for Connection, Hope and Healing

This workshop, will present a positive strength based approach, aimed at more rapid group cohesion, accessing renewed creativity, spontaneity, hope and healing. Participants will leave with a series of safe, adjunctive techniques that can be employed in a wide variety of group settings as well as increased understanding of psychodrama, new connections with other group members and a revitalized sense of their own strengths.

Learning Objectives:

The attendee will be able to:

1. Apply these techniques to a wide variety of group settings.
2  Integrate psychodrama theory and techniques into ongoing work.
3. Demonstrate the use of strength based interventions.
4. Identify the power of connection with others in accessing strengths, providing hope and combating burnout ( this is the basis of Moreno's theory that is often overlooked and is key to modern group therapy).
