At risk of
oversimplification, mentalizing is the process of identifying mental
states in one's self and others. This
experiential workshop explains the theory, addresses specific
challenges in treating hospitalized professionals and introduces
attendees to a diverse approach to group work. This approach fosters
the development of mentalizing through actively engaging the patient
in identifying and applying skills and supports.
