Workshop 13
The
Writer Meets the Internal Reader in the Group
Chair:
Dominick
Grundy, Ph.D., CGP, Consultant, Psychological Counseling
Center, CUNY, New York, New York
Writing involves
an internal reader, inside the writer, a real reader, independent of
the writer. The internal reader, through grandiose demands or
critical compulsiveness, may block creativity. The workshop will
demonstrate how group interaction helps writers explore the internal
reader and how to give and receive constructive feedback. Leading a
writing group will also be covered.
