A
Beginner's Guide to Utilizing Role Play in Therapy and Training
Groups
Chair:
Craig Haen, MA,
RDT, LCAT, CGP, Clinical Director of Adolescent Services, Kids
in Crisis, Cos Cob, Connecticut
Though many
therapists recognize the potential for using role play as a
therapeutic and teaching tool, few feel comfortable applying this
technique in their groups. This workshop will introduce participants
to the varied possibilities for integrating role play into group
work, the "basics" of facilitating a drama, as well as the many
forms of leader/ director interventions.
