Discovering and Playing with Parts of the Self Using Group Empathic
Imagery

Through experiential exercises and a
fishbowl demonstration participants learn the basic ego state
concepts and how to use imagery in groups, particularly group
empathic imagery. Participants learn how group imagery facilitates a
safe and playful learning of new ways to be and to interact with
others.

Objectives:
The attendee will
be able to:
1. Utilize imagery
techniques and ego state concepts to make groups safer for
therapeutic exploration.
2. Utilize group empathic imagery to facilitate playful exploration
of new ways of being and strengthening of underdeveloped parts of
the self.
3. Utilize empathic imagery to facilitate group cohesion.
