Supervision Groups: The Power of Parallel Process
Chair:
Barry J. Wepman, Ph.D., CGP, Clinical Associate Professor
, Georgetown University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry,
Washington, DC
Open to participants with more than
ten years of group psychotherapy experience
The supervision
group often traverses the boundary between there-and-then analysis
of case material and a here-and-now parallel process. This intensive
workshop will explore how the supervision group can harness the
power of the group to clarify therapeutic problems in ways that are
both immediate and emotionally salient to the participants.
