and Passion of Intimate Relationships with Couples and Group Therapy

Integration of
group process with Imago relationship therapy will be shown to be
effective in addressing both power struggles and passion in
relationships. A new treatment paradigm utilizing a separate
relationship-focused group therapy for partners as an adjunct to
couples work will be demonstrated and discussed.

The attendee will
be able to:
1. Describe two aspects of the "couples dialogue" which mitigate
power struggles in the couple.
2. Specify two curative factors in group therapy that ameliorate
relationship difficulties.
3. Cite two techniques a group therapist might employ to deal with
projective gridlocks.
