The Use
of Guided Enactment Techniques to Enhance Group Exploration
Chair:
Monica L. Callahan, Ph.D., TEP, CGP,
Private Practice, Bethesda, Maryland
Introducing an
element of play to a group experience can often reduce anxiety and
facilitate the exploration of problematic beliefs and interaction
patterns. This workshop will focus on psychodrama-based guided
enactment techniques as a therapeutic and training tool.
Participants will experience and practice creating improvisational
action structures that concretize issues of concern. Topics for
enactment will be selected based on actual clinical or self-care
challenges of workshop participants.
