Coming to our
Senses: Somatic Psychology and Group Therapy

Sensory experience
and the body's intelligence bring the group fully into the here and
now, leading to a deeper understanding and meaning of self and self
in relationships. Through movement to music, demonstration of leader
techniques, and sensory based consultation, we will study the power
of sensory awareness as it leads to development, interpersonal
connection, and group cohesiveness.

Objectives:
The attendee will
be able to:
1. Identify and differentiate cognitions, emotions, and body
experiences.
2. Utilize techniques that help group members to increase somatic
awareness.
3. Utilize grounding and centering for self-soothing; and for
clarification of self-experience.
