Co-Therapy: Effectively Negotiating Envy, Competition and Power

We will explore the various aspects of co-leadership including: selecting a co-leader, client selection, post-group debriefing issues, conflict management, money management and the various transference/countertransference issues that occur in co-led groups. Primary focus will be given to establishing group norms and culture that support informed, clinical collaboration between co-leaders.

Learning Objectives:

The attendee will be able to:

1. Identify three issues that need to be negotiated in setting up a co-leadership team.
2. Name the critical aspects necessary in post-group debriefing.
3. Identify what personal and professional characteristics are important in choosing a co-leader.
