Sustaining Couple Relationships through Couples Group Therapy: A
Resource in our Stressfully Changing World

Open to
participants with less than four years of group psychotherapy
experience.
This workshop
will demonstrate how Couples Group Therapy can sustain relationships
in today’s stressful world by improving communication, empathy, and
collaboration. Through a demonstration couples group led by
co-therapists, issues related to money, intimacy, sexuality, work,
and the importance of a support system will be addressed.

Learning
Objectives:
The attendee will
be able to:
1. Identify those couples, which need conjoint couple
therapy and those, which will be better served by couple’s group
therapy.
2. Participants
will be able to describe the major issues related to communication
difficulties in couple.
3. Participants
will experience empathic collaborative relating in groups.
4. Participants
will be better able to deal with money issues between partners.
5. Participants
will be able to identify different aspects of the sexual
difficulties couples share.
