AGPA Receives Recognition for 9/11 Work

AGPA has been added to the 2002 Associations Advance America Honor Roll, sponsored by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), for its September 11 Disaster Recovery Program. “Your program is an perfect example of how associations play a vital role in helping the nation adapt to complex and changing times,” said Michael S. Olsen, CAE, President and CEO of ASAE. “Contributions such as AGPA’s are vital and add real value to society.”

The New York Society of Association Executives (NYSAE) also recognized AGPA at a special June “From the Heart” ceremony. NYSAE paid tribute to organizations, such as the AGPA that responded to the tragic events of September 11 with a generosity of spirit and heart.
